We contain our trees two ways, potted and balled and burlapped (B&B).  We use biodegradable fiber pots for our evergreen trees in sizes from 1 to 7 feet.  This form of tree is an excellent way for the homeowner to plant trees themselves.  Trees up to 5 feet are relatively light and can be planted with ease.  Potted evergreens larger than 5 feet weigh approximately 350 lbs. requiring a dolly or equipment to move around.  This form is easy to plant…dig the hole, place the tree, back fill, water, and your done!

The balled and burlapped form is used on evergreens 5 to 9 feet in height and on shade trees up to 3” in diameter.  This type takes much more soil with the tree when digging and is quite heavy.  For example a 3” shade tree can easily weigh 800 lbs.  Handled properly before and after planting this form of transplant is very reliable.

All trees are dug in the spring and fall of the year.  Trees dug in the spring are available for sale throughout the summer while kept under irrigation.  Trees dug in the fall are by order only to ensure we do not carry trees over the winter.  We want fresh healthy trees available to our customers.
